"Book of Average"

I found this kept since 1985 - I guess it was important to Dad:

People relate to people through performance by what they accomplish; their works, both uplifting and works of suppression. Some people are identified and honoured for integrity and purposeful goals, and others are labeled by evil designs.

When life becomes spotlighted and passes in review, opinions are formed and judgments made. There are men living among us who have reached great heights in serving their fellowmen. They are considered above average in their line of work, some of whom are honoured for a listing in the "Hall of Fame". The story of their achievements make up the pages in the book called "Who's Who."

There is a second group whose names are also listed in another volume of "Who's Who." They are on the "Wanted" list. Their fingerprints are sought after... not their autographs. They live off the people and are listed in the "Hall of Crimes."

The Third group are the working class, the merchant, the housewife, the farmer, the teacher, the builder, and other dedicated men and women; trustworthy and steadfast people giving of themselves... giving an honest day's effort for their take-home pay. This segment of our society remains on speaking terms with themselves. They listen when the still small voice speaks. Their names are found in the "Who's Who" of the "World Book of Averages." They are the foundation upon which civilisation stands.

When the right combination of the right people come together, expect a stabilisation of purpose in the excellence of living.

Those who understand the difference between right and wrong have instant accountability.
