Susan Little - Precious Books

I found these two little fine, embossed and
gold decorated leather-bound,
with gold-edged pages amongst Dad's things.
They have a beautifully snug leather clad box in which they fit.

the slightly thinner, more used, one.

The sepia ink inscription in both is in French - one more legible than the other -

I wonder what the story behind these little books is?
Susan Little is John Little Dryden's mother
(Ken's - and Philippa's - great grandmother.)
Ken's mother Winifred and Philippa's mother Ethel were sisters -
daughters of John Little Dryden and Elizabeth Maria Hughes.

Any ideas as to what to do with these beautiful little books?
